Description

A holiday twist on our favorite french toast recipe. Use your left over eggnog instead of milk and create the perfect holiday breakfast dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 large eggs
  • 3/4 cups eggnog
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 8 slices challah bread
  • butter or cooking spray
  • powdered sugar and/or syrup

Instructions

  • Lightly grease your electric griddle with cooking spray or butter and preheat.
  • Whisk together eggs, egg nog, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla extract, in a shallow plate.
  • Dip a slice of bread into the mixture, one at a time, making sure to soak both sides.
  • Transfer to griddle and cook on each side until golden brown.
  • Top with powdered sugar and/or maple syrup.

Notes

You can use any bread you’d like, but we find that thick slices of challah are the best for french toast!
