Description

Chocolate covered pretzels make a great treat and an even better gift idea. They are very easy to make and there are an unlimited number of flavor combinations!

Ingredients

  • Chocolate chips (choose your flavor)
  • Large Pretzels (sour dough or old tyme)
  • Toppings (sprinkles, crushed peppermint, crushed peanuts, melted chocolate or caramel etc.)

Instructions

  • Choose the chocolate and melt it either in a microwave in 20-30 second intervals or by pointing a blow dryer at your chocolate in a heat resistant bowl and stirring until smooth and melted.
  • Drop a pretzel into your melted chocolate and push down with a fork until it’s completely covered.
  • Using a fork, slide it under the pretzel and lift out of the chocolate, allowing all excess to drip back into the bowl.
  • Place the chocolate covered pretzel on a parchment paper lined baking sheet. This baking sheet should be small enough to fit in your freezer/refrigerator.
  • Sprinkle with toppings of your choice.
  • Put them into the refrigerator or freezer until the chocolate is dry and solid.
