A smartwatch has been on my youngest daughter’s wish list for quite some time. While several smartwatches are on the market and offer many of the same features, it’s vital for me that they be safe for kids. After much research, I found Bark Watch and its features most impressive. We’ve had the watch for over a week, and I’m finally ready to share my honest Bark Watch review.
I was introduced to the Bark app earlier this year and instantly wished I had known about it when my two older daughters were younger. Bark Premium allows me to monitor her social media, texts, and web searches, track her location, pause the internet, block websites and apps, and set app time limits. It’s been a valuable tool for my daughter and me to ensure her safety online. When I heard Bark also makes a safe smartwatch for kids, I knew it was a must-have.
What is Bark Watch?
Bark Watch is a kid-friendly smartwatch with Bark’s award-winning parental controls built in. It is designed to provide children aged 7–11 with a safer introduction to technology, enabling communication while fostering trust and promoting healthy digital habits. Unlike traditional smartwatches, the Bark Watch is free from distractions like games or browsers, making it a purposeful and protective first device for kids.
Our Bark Watch Review
Let’s start with my daughter’s review. Falynn says the Bark Watch is comfortable, and she loves that she can change the watch’s face design. She likes that she can text her friends but wishes the keyboard was a bit bigger. She says the camera and mic quality are exceptional. Her favorite feature is the SOS button. She said it’s easy since it’s just one button, making her feel safe when playing with friends or walking to or from the bus stop. Overall, she thinks the Bark Watch is reasonably priced and has already recommended it to her friends at school.
Now, my review. I’m thrilled that Falynn loves it. My favorite part of the Bark watch is the location tracking. This feature helps us to know where she is when she’s not in the house. I appreciate that I get emailed alerts when there are any potential issues, such as bullying or inappropriate content within her text messages. I also love that I have to approve all saved contacts, which helps me know she’s only talking to people she should be talking to. If you know kids, you know they lose things regularly. I love that with the help of the Bark App, I can locate the Bark Watch by tapping a button. It plays a fun song, which makes it super easy to find. Overall, the Bark Watch is the best starter device for kids and is very well-priced, especially for the peace of mind it brings to parents like me.
