Cold and flu season has arrived. So, for those of us with kids, that means that we should expect the germs to be coming into our homes any moment now and then passing through each of us slowly and painfully. It’s a time when our kids get to see just how “super” we are as we battle stuffy noses, fatigue, that awful, endless coughing and the desire to lock ourselves in our room and hide under the covers for 3-4 days. Unfortunately, most parents don’t have that luxury, so if we catch those icky germs, we are forced to incorporate them into our busy lives like a new, gross accessory. So, what are we to do?

Among the obvious things that we try to do like washing our hands regularly, dressing for the weather and not subjecting our kids to those germy playground areas, we focus on their health. Our girls love healthy snacks, so you’ll always find lots of fruit and veggies in our fridge. And while they love a cookie or chips, they will always balance them out with things like carrot sticks, kale chips and berries. While we try to get as many of those vitamins into our girls as we can, we also have a little secret weapon that will provide what they aren’t getting daily.

In our family, vitamins can’t just be in fun shapes. They must taste good too. My girls love the Gummy Vitamin C Slices, so it’s more like a treat vs. a vitamin (though they know not to eat them like candy).  It’s become a fun routine in the morning for them to grab one before they get on the bus. They love the taste, but I know that it’s helping to boost their immune system and give them the vitamin C they need. Rainbow Light® also offers a Women’s and Men’s One a Day for us, because let’s face it, we forget to eat, let alone make sure we are getting all of the vitamins we need every day.  Make sure to check out their full line and stock up for cold and flu season.

  7. That sounds like a great help to fight flu season! Thanks for sharing! I’d gladly check it out.

  8. My son needs these vitamins. Even though summer is just days away he has got a cold. He needs a boost to his immune system.

  9. I love gummy vitamins- it’s actually enjoyable to take them! It’s what gets ME to take them, too! 😉

  10. im glad you wrote about this. two reasons: this is important, often neglected by parents.. vitamin c plays a significant role in boostng the immune system… we all should take it!

  11. I love the idea of a vitamin that takes into account food allergies and sensitivities. I have a friend who is gluten intolerant and it amazes me all the ways it negatively affects her life. With these vitamins, at least she has one less thing to worry about.

  12. When we were kids we had this chalky horrible tasting vitamin c tablets. Great to know there are so many better options available today.

  13. Looks like great products, yesterday only I got flu shots for my two kids, these gummies going to give an extra protection.

  14. It is so good to know that vitamin gummies are there for flu and cold season. I am afraid of getting the flu everytime

  15. I have never heard this Vitamin before but this Vitamin gummies perfect for winter season. I’m sure that kids they would love this Vitamin.

  16. Wow vitamin gummies?! This is pretty cool and kids will not say no for this!
DO they have this for adult, coz I am interested 😀

  17. I’m a big believer in vitamins all year round. I know that the winter is known for colds and flu but I think getting a summer cold is even worse for some reason 🙂

  18. Rainbow Light is a good vitamin brand. I took it for years. I take Vitamin C every day and some other supplements and rarely get sick. I also get the flu vaccine every year, but I agree with taking vitamins!

  19. I love that you have discovered this new vitamin. That’s good for all of us. My neighbor was just asking me about vitamins so now I will share this post with her.

  20. I’ve always hated it when it’s cold since it’s so easy to get flu. But it seems that you are dealing with the flu really good with the multivitamins.

  21. It is definitely flu season now. Even with getting the flu shot, I make sure to take a daily multivitamin supplement to keep my immune system up.

  22. I have never tried to use this brand of multivitamins and it sounds really a great one to give not only with my kids but also with the whole family.

  23. Oh gosh! I can’t believe cold and flu season is already here and in full force! I love how y’all are staying healthy!!

  24. I am all about gummy vitamins! Your post reminds me that I need to stock up on essentials for flu season! Thanks so much for the reminder.

  25. These are great! My youngest has already been sick but I’ve avoided it so far. (Knock on wood) I’ve been taking elderberry daily, so I think that helps a bit. Stock up and take those vitamins!

  26. I have never heard of this particular brand, but I think vitamins are a super idea! My 14-year-old doesn’t always eat the way I wish he would, and I can always count on him getting a little extra with vitamins!

  27. Multivitamins are a good way to make sure you’re getting the nutrition you need to stay healthy during cold and flu season. These sound like a great choice.

  28. Sounds like some great products. I may have to check these out. My daughters and I seem to get sick a lot during the winter. Maybe this could help us too.

  29. This is great! Vitamins are critical to keep you healthy! I like to take my Vitamin C and Elderberry syrup this time of year!

  30. You are so right! I don’t have the luxury to hide under the covers for 3-4 days. I can’t do this even for only 1 day, so these vitamins were created especially for me! 🙂

  31. These would be perfect for my son. I love that they have products dedicated to teens. How cool is that?!

  32. These Rainbow Light multivitamins look great! I love that they are food based so that makes me want to try them asap!

  33. Love how “clean” these multivitamins are! Perfect way to make sure teens are getting all the nutrients they need!

  34. It sounds like a great brand of supplements and the gummies look like something kids will enjoy taking!

  35. We love these! We’ve been taking them for a few weeks now with great success. No one has been sick, which is a plus.

  36. I take Vitamin D and calcium everyday so these gummies would be a great idea. I will have to try the teen formula which I had never seen for my kids.

  37. I have not tried this brand yet but looks tasty. I should probably try and switch my boys vitamins to something else.

  38. I am a daily user of calcium and Vitamin D so these gummies seem like the perfect choice for me and the teen mixture for my kids. I don’t like pills so gummies like this are perfect.

  39. My family takes vitamins and I know that is one of the big reasons why we don’t get sick. Vitamin C is really big to keep the sniffles away.

  40. YES! Rainbow light will forever be one of my favorite brands! They even have tasty protein powder I used to be obsessed with (I am no so much a protein powder person these days though). Their vitamins never disappoint me!

  41. I could really use this. I caught a cold about a week ago, and it doesn’t seem to want to leave. Thanks for the tip!

  42. These must be the hot new vitamins and health care for this winter. Hopefully we don’t catch anything that last very long

  43. Vitamin gummies are about the only way my kids will take their vitamins. I remember the medicine-y taste of vitamins when I was a kid and that chalky ring they left in your hands.
