Cold and flu season has arrived. So, for those of us with kids, that means that we should expect the germs to be coming into our homes any moment now and then passing through each of us slowly and painfully. It’s a time when our kids get to see just how “super” we are as we battle stuffy noses, fatigue, that awful, endless coughing and the desire to lock ourselves in our room and hide under the covers for 3-4 days. Unfortunately, most parents don’t have that luxury, so if we catch those icky germs, we are forced to incorporate them into our busy lives like a new, gross accessory. So, what are we to do?

Among the obvious things that we try to do like washing our hands regularly, dressing for the weather and not subjecting our kids to those germy playground areas, we focus on their health. Our girls love healthy snacks, so you’ll always find lots of fruit and veggies in our fridge. And while they love a cookie or chips, they will always balance them out with things like carrot sticks, kale chips and berries. While we try to get as many of those vitamins into our girls as we can, we also have a little secret weapon that will provide what they aren’t getting daily.

In our family, vitamins can’t just be in fun shapes. They must taste good too. My girls love the Gummy Vitamin C Slices, so it’s more like a treat vs. a vitamin (though they know not to eat them like candy).  It’s become a fun routine in the morning for them to grab one before they get on the bus. They love the taste, but I know that it’s helping to boost their immune system and give them the vitamin C they need. Rainbow Light® also offers a Women’s and Men’s One a Day for us, because let’s face it, we forget to eat, let alone make sure we are getting all of the vitamins we need every day.  Make sure to check out their full line and stock up for cold and flu season.

  • I have not tried this brand yet but looks tasty. I should probably try and switch my boys vitamins to something else.

  • I am a daily user of calcium and Vitamin D so these gummies seem like the perfect choice for me and the teen mixture for my kids. I don’t like pills so gummies like this are perfect.

  • My family takes vitamins and I know that is one of the big reasons why we don’t get sick. Vitamin C is really big to keep the sniffles away.

  • YES! Rainbow light will forever be one of my favorite brands! They even have tasty protein powder I used to be obsessed with (I am no so much a protein powder person these days though). Their vitamins never disappoint me!

  • I could really use this. I caught a cold about a week ago, and it doesn’t seem to want to leave. Thanks for the tip!

  • These must be the hot new vitamins and health care for this winter. Hopefully we don’t catch anything that last very long

  • Vitamin gummies are about the only way my kids will take their vitamins. I remember the medicine-y taste of vitamins when I was a kid and that chalky ring they left in your hands.
