The holidays are my favorite time of the year. I love the decorations and the scent of fresh Christmas trees. Since I’ve become a Mom, I’ve also become a huge fan of giving gifts. Every year, I sit down and come up with the perfect gift for each person on our list. I purchase them, wrap them and count the days until I can give them to them.
While I rarely have an issue coming up with gift ideas, this year, it became a bit more challenging when I realized that I’m shopping for a young adult, our niece, who started her first year of college a few months ago. I remember what I loved as a young adult, but let’s face it, it’s not the 90s, and I have no idea what’s considered cool anymore (though you’ll never hear me admitting that to my kids).
This year we’ve decided to focus less on material things that take up space and instead on giving things we actually need. So, in this fashion, I’ve come up with the perfect holiday care package for young adults.
In addition to getting the perfect gift, it’s important to ensure that these gifts are within our budget, so I shop around and search for deals and coupons! You can get free shipping on all Crest products here.
Did you know that Crest Pro-Health toothpaste is the only toothpaste accepted by the American Dental Association to treat all seven attributes:
- Plaque
- Gingivitis
- Cavities
- Sensitivity
- Tartar
- Whitening
- Freshens Breath
Crest Pro-Health helps you advance to healthier gums, and stronger teeth with benefits that help protect against areas dentists check most. For more information on Crest, visit crest.com. And make sure to like Crest on Facebook and Instagram or follow @crest on Twitter to receive updates and learn more about oral health.
Next, we listed things she would need while away at college. In addition to the Crest Pro-Health toothpaste, we included some fuzzy socks (for the colder nights), a nail manicure kit, lip balm, a bath bomb, face masks, a sequin makeup bag, shampoo, dry shampoo (for those crazy college mornings when there just isn’t enough time to shower), a back massager and a shower towel. Once we had the necessities, I picked up a gift card (so she could buy herself a little something) and threw in a festive candy cane.
I’d have to say that this is a care package I would have loved to receive when I was in college, and I’m sure she will love it too!

What a great package! I would love to get something like this. I know my daughter would be a fan. She’s all about pink.
I WISH someone would’ve thought enough of me to send me care packages in college! The fuzzy socks alone would’ve made me smile!
I would love all of these gifts! Perfect combo of items, thanks for sharing!
I am always looking for ideas for my brothers in law… they are early 20’s and need nothing. A box of essentials would be a fun gift – they could really use it all!
It seems like a great idea, however, if I were a teen and got a package full of toothpaste – LOL – I would have felt JIPPED – hahahahahha! But oral health is insanely important! 😉

Luckily it’s not “full” of toothpaste. It has a bunch of other fun stuff.
This is such a sweet idea. I think it’s nice to send a little package like this to let that special adult-ish person(s) in your life know how much you care.
Personal hygiene is always a welcome gift for young adults and toothpaste is always welcomed in the package. Food goes a long way and gift cards are always welcomed.
