As promised, I have more Passover goodness coming your way this week. While you’re all snacking on the Passover snack crack that I posted yesterday, I have a fun little activity for you! This Passover seder plate coloring page is fun for the kids to color and display at your next seder!
This adorable printable Passover seder plate was hand-drawn by my amazing 16-year-old daughter. All you have to do is print it and have your kids color it. This would be a great activity for school, too, so teachers, this one is for you to print as well!
They can use crayons, markers, colored pencils, or if you’re feeling extra brave, watercolors! Don’t worry if they make a mistake. You can print out another one! Don’t forget to write the date on it so you can look back on it years from now!
Funny story: As we were creating this Passover seder plate coloring page, I couldn’t remember the sixth item on the seder plate. It’s a mixture of my age and not having had an official Passover seder in so long.
I took to Google, where I saw things like potatoes and lettuce, and I know for sure those things were never on my Nana and Papa’s seder plate.
I called my cousin and asked her. She asked her parents. I texted my best friend, and she called her Mom. My cousin texted one of her Jewish friends. None of us could remember the 6th item. We all remember saltwater, but that was not shown on any of the seder plates I was pulling up, so we figured that wasn’t it.
Everyone told me that there are only five things, but everything I read said the seder plate holds at least six of the ritual items discussed during the seder: the shank bone, karpas, chazeret, charoset, maror, and egg.
While we still don’t remember, I decided to include what seemed to be the most common: lettuce on our Passover seder plate coloring page.
Whether your family includes lettuce on your seder plate, you’ll still love this printable coloring page we put together. The best part is that it’s a downloadable file, so you can print off as many as you need. You can print them off yearly and watch your children’s creativity change.

Though I was not aware of this ritual but as it is read it is always nice to know new things. I really enjoyed reading about the whole lot confusion of adding the 6th item. Lol…. The hand drawing by your daughter is indeed beautiful.
