What You Need to Personalize Your Back to School Supplies Easily with Cricut

You can personalize just about anything including lunchboxes, water bottles, clothing, etc. We chose to personalize binders, folders, pencil pouches and school supply caddies. By the way, those school supply caddies are only $1.99, but personalizing them with Cricut makes them look like you bought them in one of those specialty stores!

A Cricut Machine
Choose from starter tool kit. I recommend checking out each machine and see which one works best for your needs. The Joy is a great starter machine and if you choose to get a bigger Cricut machine in the future, the Joy makes a great companion!

Cricut Materials
Once you have your machine, you’ll need the materials. I highly recommend the Cricut materials as they are made for their machines. I started off using iron-on (they have permanent and removable). You’ll also want transfer paper. This helps to transfer your design to your school supply easily. This was the first time I used the iron-on, for the pencil pouches. It was incredibly easy! You just create your design, mirror it and iron it on. You can also choose to use infusible ink. Unlike an iron-on transfer or vinyl application, where artwork is attached on top of a compatible material using adhesive, an Infusible Ink heat transfer becomes one with the material itself.

EasyPress or EasyPress Mini
If you choose to use the iron-on or infusible ink, you might want to consider getting either an EasyPress or an EasyPress Mini. I have the Cricut EasyPress 2 which makes the process so much easier. Combining the speed of a heat press and the convenience of an iron, Cricut EasyPress 2 gives you fast, effortless results that really last, even after repeated washes. Cricut Accessories
