How to Prepare for Amazon Prime Day

Amazon Prime Day is almost here! Are you ready? What deals are you hoping to snag? Our family will be on the lookout for things like a laptop, a camera lens, an inflatable air mattress (I got a great one last year) and a keyboard with a stand.

Amazon Prime Day 2019

This year, Amazon Prime Day will last 48 hours, from 3am on July 15th – 2:59am on July 17th and will offer more than 1 million deals! Many will be available throughout the sale and some will be featured as Lightning Deals. Lighting Deals only last for a certain amount of time, or until they are sold out. They launch throughout the 48 hour sale.

While they don’t share the deals ahead of time, you can download the Amazon app to find upcoming deals! You can “watch” the items you want and Amazon will send you a notification when the deal is about to go live. You can also ask Alexa to set a reminder for you.

Once a Lightning Deal goes live, you can add it to your shopping cart. You’ll have 15 minutes to complete the order. If the item sells out before you’re able to buy it, make sure to join the waitlist. If for some reason, someone decides not to purchase, you’ll still get the opportunity to buy one.

I’ve been checking the deals, and so far there’s nothing I need to have. I keep hoping there’s an awesome deal on a Xbox, ha. My daughter wants one, but I’m not paying more than $200 because I’m cheap. But I am a Prime Member!

Sadly I am not a member YET, but with these great buys and free shipping I need to rethink this. I would love another streaming service to watch my favorite TV shows and movies.
