Looking for a fun, budget-friendly theme park that offers something for everyone—without the overwhelming crowds? You might want to consider Wild Adventures in Valdosta, GA, located just north of the Florida/Georgia line. We recently visited on a sponsored trip, and while there were some amazing highlights, we also ran into a few surprises along the way.
Here’s our full, honest review to help you decide whether Wild Adventures should be your next family-friendly adventure in Georgia.

What Is Wild Adventures in Valdosta, GA?
Wild Adventures is a theme park, water park, and animal park all rolled into one, making it a unique destination for families. It’s located in Valdosta, Georgia, right off I-75—making it a great day trip for those traveling from Florida or nearby cities like Tallahassee, Jacksonville, or even Atlanta.
What sets this park apart is its variety: thrill rides, kid-friendly attractions, live animal encounters, splash zones, and even special events and concerts. And yes, you can do all of that with just one admission ticket.

What We Loved About Wild Adventures
Fun for All Ages
Whether you’re visiting with toddlers, tweens, teens, or grandparents, there’s something for everyone. My kids are older and couldn’t get enough of the roller coasters, but there were also a number of options for the younger kids as well. It’s an easy win for multi-generational family trips.
Way Shorter Lines Than Other Parks
This might be our favorite part—no endless waiting. Compared to bigger parks like Disney or Universal, the lines here were practically nonexistent. We were able to enjoy ride after ride without the usual wait times, which made the whole experience more relaxed and fun.
Souvenir Cups with Unlimited Refills
It was hot. Like Georgia-in-July kind of hot. Thankfully, Wild Adventures offers a souvenir drink cup with unlimited refills all day long. You can fill up at any drink station throughout the park—and trust us, that’s worth every penny.
Water Park Included in Admission
Splash Island is the on-site water park, and access is included in your Wild Adventures ticket. From water slides to lazy rivers and splash pads, it was the perfect way to cool down midday. Don’t forget towels, swimsuits, and water shoes so you can enjoy both parks without going back to the car.

Animal Encounters
Though the safari ride was down during our visit (more on that below), we still had a chance to walk around and see giraffes, reptiles, birds, and other exotic animals. Feeding the giraffes was definitely a highlight for our family and gave the day a zoo-meets-theme-park vibe.
Affordable for Families
Compared to other theme parks, Wild Adventures is incredibly budget-friendly. With the combo of water park, zoo, and amusement rides all in one, you’re getting a lot of bang for your buck—especially with online discounts or season passes.
What Could Use Improvement
While we had a great time, there were a few hiccups that future visitors should be aware of:
Multiple Rides and Safari Closed
A handful of attractions were closed during our visit, including the highly anticipated safari ride. We understand that maintenance happens, but it was disappointing not to be able to experience everything the park promotes.
Staff Didn’t Seem Very Engaged
This one is tough to say, but the few interactions with park employees felt less-than-welcoming. From ride operators to concession workers, some just didn’t seem thrilled to be there, which can definitely impact the overall vibe.
Arcade Disappointment
We tried to escape the heat by heading into the arcade, but unfortunately, most of the games were either broken or malfunctioning, and several ate our quarters. There were no staff members in sight to help or offer refunds.
Overcharged at a Concession Stand
Double-check your receipts! We were overcharged for a souvenir cup by nearly double the listed price. My oldest daughter nearly passed out and we waited over 20 minutes in the line, just trying to get water to her quickly. I didn’t notice the error until much later and didn’t want to wait in the line again for a refund.

A Surprise Celebrity Sighting
Here’s a little bonus we didn’t expect: we ran into Murr from Impractical Jokers while walking through the park! He was just casually there enjoying the day—and even better, we were gifted tickets to his comedy show that night. It was hilarious and such a fun and unexpected way to end our Wild Adventures experience.
Why Wild Adventures Is Great for Florida Travelers
If you’re visiting from Florida, Wild Adventures is especially convenient. Located just 15 minutes north of the Florida-Georgia line, it’s the perfect weekend getaway or road trip stop. Whether you’re heading north from Orlando or making your way south from Atlanta, it’s an easy detour that offers less crowds, lower prices, and lots of family-friendly fun.

Final Thoughts: Should You Visit Wild Adventures?
Overall, yes—we do recommend Wild Adventures. If you’re looking for a theme park that won’t break the bank, won’t overwhelm you with crowds, and still offers rides, animals, and water park thrills, this spot checks all the boxes.
Is it perfect? Not quite. But with a little planning and realistic expectations, your family could have an awesome day full of laughs, splashes, and maybe even a celebrity sighting.
