You may have heard the term “you’ve been booed” or “ghosting”. It’s one of our favorite things to do on Halloween!
We put together a bag or basket full of Halloween goodies and drop them off secretly at a friend or family member’s house.
Don’t tell them you’re coming or that you’ve been there. Just fill up a bag or basket with Halloween treats and leave a note attached letting them know that they’ve been booed and what to do to keep the tradition going. You’ve been booed is a pay-it-forward type of Halloween activity!
It’s a fun tradition that is sure to bring smiles to everyone’s faces!
Ideas for the you’ve been booed bag
Candy
Who doesn’t love candy? Fill your bag or basket with lots of candy. Depending on the temperature in your city, you may want to skip the chocolate so that it doesn’t melt. Make sure the candy is wrapped so that it keeps the bugs and critters away!
Halloween Favors
Grab a bunch of fun Halloween toys or party favors and fill your you’ve been booed bag or basket up. This is a great healthier option since the kids are likely to get lots of candy on Halloween anyway.
Baked Goods
Feeling creative? Bake some cookies, cupcakes, or brownies, wrap them up, and put them in a bag or basket. Make sure that they don’t need to be refrigerated right away, just in case the recipient isn’t home when you drop them off. You can also gift a baking kit or the items they need to bake!
Craft Kits
If the kids in the home love to create things, why not fill the bag or basket up with a craft kit?! It will keep the kids entertained and they will have a finished project to display during Halloween!
Halloween Decor
Does the family love to decorate for Halloween? Why not get them a piece of decor that they can display every year?
Halloween Apparel
Another great no-candy option is to get them some fun Halloween apparel! Make sure to double-check sizes before you buy!
Halloween Movie and Snacks
Who doesn’t love a movie night? Fill the you’ve been booed bag with a Halloween movie DVD, some popcorn, and movie snacks!
Halloween Books
Why not fill up a basket or bag with Halloween books for the kids?! That’s a fun and educational option!

I love the Idea of dropping Halloween goodies. This is fun for the kids and thank you for the free printables!
Dropping Halloween goodies secretly at a friend or family`s house is a great idea. They will surely love it and it`ll make them happy
I would think that with these Covid times and concerns about what people do to the candy that it would be best to do books and crafts and things along that line. Thanks for posting that I haven’t even thought about it yet this year.

Not sure what type of friends and family you have, but mine don’t typically do things to the candy.
