We’re at it again… You guys loved our non-alcoholic margarita and non-alcoholic banana piña colada, so we thought the next obvious choice would be a strawberry daiquiri! If you’re looking for a family-friendly, non-alcoholic recipe that the whole family can enjoy, read on! It’s the yummiest non-alcoholic strawberry daiquiri ever… at least according to my kids.
There is something about a fruity frozen drink that makes me feel like I’m on vacation, lying on a beach. With the heat we’ve been having this summer, this strawberry daiquiri was a must.
The drink itself only has 5 ingredients — frozen strawberries, lemon-lime soda, pineapple juice, lime juice, and simple syrup. The recipe is so easy – just place it all in a blender and blend until smooth.
Garnishes are completely optional, but the kids love them! It makes them feel like the drink is a little fancier than it actually is. Another option is to add some colorful drink umbrellas or fun paper straws. Anything that makes it festive and fun will make your non-alcoholic strawberry daiquiri that much better.
What is a strawberry daiquiri typically made of?
In a traditional strawberry daiquiri, you’ll usually find rum, strawberries, lime, and simple syrup. For this kid-friendly version, we removed the rum (obviously) and added in some pineapple juice and lemon lime soda to give it a fun, fruity, and slightly fizzy feel.
What if I want to make the adult version?
If you want to turn this into an adult drink, just add 3/4 cups of your favoirte white rum. With the extra liquid, you may need to add some ice or additional frozen strawberries, depending on the consistency you’re going for.
Can I use fresh strawberries?
Yes! You absolutely can, but I would freeze them. The frozen strawberries take the place of ice and give your strawberry daiquiri more flavor and a less watery taste.
What is simple syrup and is there a substitution for that?
Simple syrup is the liquid form of sugar. It’s made with water and sugar and boiled down to form a sweet syrup. Simple syrup can be found in many grocery stores. If you don’t have any simple syrup on hand, you can boil equal parts sugar and water and let cool before adding to your blender.
Do you have a blender you recommend?
Yes! We received this Nutribullet Blender in early 2020 as part of a campaign and it’s by far the best blender we’ve ever owned. It blends so smoothly and comes with the cup attachment so you can make a drink for one and take it with you!
The steps in the photos above, show exactly how I make my kids a delicious non-alcoholic strawberry daiquiri.
Step 1: Add frozen strawberries to your blender.
Step 2: Add lemon-lime soda.
Step 3: Add pineapple juice.
Step 4: Add lime juice.
Step 5: Add simple syrup.
Step 6: Blend and serve.
Now that you know a little bit about our non-alcoholic strawberry daiquiri, I’m excited to share our recipe.
