Fun fact… the first thing my family looks for in a new city is a good Italian restaurant. They have to serve great pizza and they have to have fresh, extra garlicky, buttery garlic rolls.  Believe it or not, it’s not easy to find. Since we haven’t found a place in our new hometown yet, I made these pull-apart garlic rolls last week and they were gone in minutes!

I love how easy they are to make. So easy in fact, that my tween daughter can make them herself! They are also incredibly delicious and with 8-10 cloves of garlic, they definitely check off all the boxes! If you love buttery, garlic rolls, keep reading!

Before I share our pull-apart garlic rolls recipe, let me share a few tips.

I used dried basil and dried oregano in this recipe, but if you have fresh spices, I highly recommend chopping them and using them. Fresh spices always make everything taste better and fresher, in my opinion.

The quality of butter matters! I use grass-fed butter. It has a much creamier, buttery taste. Once you try it, you may never use any other type of butter again.

My recipe calls for the refrigerated buttermilk biscuit dough, but if your local grocery store doesn’t have any (ours runs out quickly, especially during the holidays), you should be able to use any other type of biscuit dough.

Using a muffin tin allows the rolls to form and stay together until you are ready to pull apart and eat them.

When you remove your baked pull-apart garlic rolls from the oven, you can brush them with any remaining garlic butter that is at the bottom of the bowl you used to mix it. It gives your rolls an extra layer of buttery flavor. I sprinkle some fresh parsley and shredded parmesan cheese on top as well.

My kids absolutely love these pull-apart garlic rolls. They said that they remind them of the rolls at Red Lobster. I totally agree, though these don’t have cheddar cheese in them, the taste and consistency are definitely similar!

Taste them and let me know if you agree in the comments!

These pull-apart garlic rolls are great as an appetizer. They can be served with pasta as a side or even as a mid-day snack! They definitely hit the spot when we are having that fresh garlic roll craving.

I should warn you… they never last long, so you may need to make a second batch.
