Are you looking for something sweet for your sweetheart this Valentine’s Day? These super chocolatey valentine’s day brownies are super easy to make and will make anyone fall in love with you!
There is nothing we love more in our home than baking, especially during holidays. For Valentine’s Day this year, we wanted something chocolatey, heart-shaped, and covered in pink and red sprinkles. I’d say we succeeded!
If you love rich, fudgy brownies, you will love these! You can make them in individual heart shapes, one large heart shape, or in a regular square pan and cut them into bite-sized squares!
Before I share our valentine’s day brownie recipe, let me share a few items that I used.
I’m sorry to report that the pan I used in the photos is no longer available online. I was able to find this heart-shaped pan that will make one large heart brownie. You can also search your local stores for a brownie pan similar to mine or use a standard square-shaped pan. Adding the heart-shaped sprinkles will make them just as perfect for Valentine’s Day!
I found this incredibly amazing little egg separator for only $1 at Target! It’s an easy way to separate the third yolk you’ll need for this recipe. Don’t forget to save the white and cook it with everything bagel seasoning so there is no waste! One of my favorite healthy breakfasts!
I purchased a few types of Valentine’s Day sprinkles this year and decided to make each brownie a little different. I got the light pink and white sprinkles on Amazon. The other two I picked up at our local Joann. They also have these cute pink and purple heart sprinkles at Target.
When you are melting the butter, make sure to do it in 20-second increments just until fully melted. Don’t overheat it. Make sure it’s cooled down before you add in the other ingredients.
Always sift your dry ingredients. It will help your brownie batter to be smoother and without lumps.
This batter will be on the thick side. I find it’s easiest to use a scoop to evenly distribute the batter into each individual part of the baking sheet. If you are using one big pan, you should just be able to pour it and spread it out evenly.
If your chocolate chips don’t completely melt in the warmed heavy cream, you can microwave them for an additional 20 seconds and then stir until smooth.
Make sure your valentine’s day brownies are completely cool before adding the ganache and leave the pan in the refrigerator for at least an hour so that it firms and is easier to remove from the pan.
To remove your brownies from the pan, you may need to run something along the edges as the ganache may stick to the sides once it’s cool.
I’ve tried to show the steps in the photos above for you, to make it a bit easier to make these valentine’s day brownies.
