Searching for the Unicorn of Green Smoothies?

Packed with spinach, this smoothie includes good for you foods like banana, mango, freshly squeezed orange juice and coconut milk. I added some maple syrup for a little added sweetness and topped with shredded coconut. My husband and I loved it! It had been so long since we had a green smoothie and it was like seeing an old friend.
My Kids Opinion.
My kids? Well, they didn’t share the sentiment. Unfortunately, it was “too spinachy” though if you’ve ever had a smoothie with spinach in it, you’ll probably agree that you can’t really taste the spinach. While they love cooked spinach, they just can’t be convinced that raw spinach is good too. But don’t think I’m giving up on that one! I’m already working on another one to change their mind!
Low in fat and even lower in cholesterol, spinach is high in niacin and zinc, as well as protein, fiber, vitamins A, C, E and K, thiamin, vitamin B6, folate, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, copper, and manganese. In other words, it’s loaded with good things for every part of your body!*
Don’t forget, you can add in additional fruits to change it up a bit, though this dairy-free mango coconut green smoothie is delicious as is! Make sure to check out our Dairy-Free Very Berry Smoothie too!

So refreshing I have all this ingredients at home. I definitely want to try this weekend. Juicing is my life even its cold outside.
It can be hard to mask the taste of spinach in a smoothie or even coconut for that matter given both are such powerful flavors. I love green smoothies and I sometimes use kale instead of spinach to mix things up.
I must say that even though I love smoothies, I am with your kids on not liking the flavor of green ones. I can see where this would be appealing for some folks that didn’t like traditional green smoothies.
I’ve never been able to get into the green smoothie trend. Maybe this recipe will be the one to change that!
I feel like anything with mango is going to be great to me! I am mango obsessed *wink*
I love green smoothies, I always add lots of spinach! I have never added mango to mine so i need to try that.
I never think to put mango in smoothies! I really should, it looks so amazing.
